I’m Koga Tanaka from LOWONIDA hair design, a one-to-one salon based in Himeji, Hyogo, where you can experience refined and stylish design in a relaxed, personal setting.
Today, I’d like to talk about our menu – and why it’s intentionally simpler than most other salons.
Above all, LOWONIDA is a salon that focuses on precision cutting and colour work, bringing out the best in your natural hair texture to create truly refined, effortless styles.
We don’t follow the menu you choose — we provide what you truly need to achieve your ideal look.
Have you ever wondered:
“Is this menu option I picked really the right one for me?”
or
“Why did my bill end up being higher after the stylist added extra treatments I didn’t fully understand?”
At LOWONIDA, we’ve kept things as simple as possible to avoid such confusion.
For example, many salons list things like Basic Colour, Care Colour, Glossy Colour…
Even as a professional, I often think, “What does that actually mean?”
In my view, if we’re colouring hair, choosing the best option to minimise damage is a given!
That’s why at LOWONIDA, there’s only one colour menu — and it’s always the best-quality colour we can offer.
Of course, we provide optional add-ons to suit each client, such as:
【Treatments tailored to your hair length, history, and goals】
【Scalp care based on your grey coverage needs, and so on】
So rest assured — you’ll never hear:
“Your hair is too damaged for the basic colour” or
“This shade isn’t possible with the cheaper option.”
We never raise prices like that.

We generally don’t offer perms or straightening treatments.
Perms and straightening are excellent techniques, of course.
However, the philosophy of LOWONIDA is to bring out your natural beauty — not to artificially change it.
Creating a completely different texture from your natural hair may look good initially, but as it grows out, the contrast between roots and ends often becomes noticeable.
Every hair type has a style that complements it.
That’s why, at LOWONIDA, we first explore together how to make your natural hair beautiful and manageable.
Only when your desired style truly can’t be achieved with your natural texture do we consider a hair improvement treatment — and that’s only available to our regular clients.
For me, being a hairdresser means taking responsibility not just for how you look today, but for the future health of your hair.
In fact, I’ve had clients who thought they “needed” straightening, but after adjusting their haircut properly, their hair sat beautifully without it.
To sum up:
Let’s use only what’s truly necessary, in the best possible way, to bring out your beauty.
・Use highlights instead of full grey coverage
・Apply bleach with foils rather than directly on the scalp
・Avoid overprocessing already lightened ends
At first glance, our style photos may look like we use lots of products,
but in reality, we always aim to protect your scalp and hair while keeping your look fashionable and effortless.
